| Gumpy:
Gumpy came to Polar Pug Rescue after his owner's child developed severe allergies. Gumpy's owner thought long and hard about it and decided it was best for Gumpy to go to an allergy-free home, and Polar Pug Rescue was able to help. His first foster home became his last, he was adopted into a home that had a couple other wonderful rescue pugs and they all enjoy being spoiled rotten. Gumpy is 12.5 years young, and is on thyroid and heart meds for the rest of his life, but he is perky and happy and loves being with his people. |
Gumpy shows off his sense of humor last Easter. |

Skeeter's Story:
We rescued Skeeter in Autumn of 2006. He turned 3 this past March. When we got him, he was very under weight, and recovering from eye surgery. His previous owner's had injured his eye and never treated it. He was lucky to have kept his eye. Now Skeeter is happy and healthy and well fed. We have 2 other pugs, so he has playmates. He really is a character, and he keeps the other 2 pugs on
their toes. He is the sweetest little guy, and aside from some marking issues, has adapted very well. He loves to snuggle on blankets at night, and always shares his space with his sister. We are very happy to have been able to give him his forever home.

| Nemo's
Tale:
We received him into rescue from the AACCC (Anchorage Animal Care and Control Center). He was a bloated tiny (maybe 3-4 months old) mess covered with bald spots and crusties caused from Demodex mange. His spirit was always very high and tail and body never stopped wiggling. He was delivered to his new mommy in June of 2006 and she adores him, along with her three other rescued dogs. Nemo fit in immediately. He certainly captured my heart and now the hearts of everyone else he meets! |
