Both Fiona and Toby were adopted from us by Dani in Sitka
Alaska.
Fiona was adopted first, and she lived with Scooby, Dani's
elderly pug until he passed away.
Eventually, Dani wanted to find a new companion for Fiona. In
stepped Cletus, renamed Toby. Fiona & Toby are now
inseparable.
Dani's words:
Fiona and Toby are strongly bonded, and where one goes, the
other follows. Toby is very puppy-like in his behavior (12 rolls of
toilet paper were ruthlessly attacked and killed the other day)
and Fiona acts as though he's HER puppy. She's forever
checking on him and occasionally washing his face and ears.
He always wants to wrestle with her and you can see her roll
her eyes. They play quite a bit, which is particularly great for
Fiona who needs the exercise to ward off that middle-age
spread.
I should have mentioned that Toby's name used to be Cletus
and he came into rescue with an injured leg. His leg healed
very well. It's strong and stable, and he's able to leap tall coffee
tables in a single bound....
