Gimli

Gimli is adjusting to life without Aurora since she was adopted a few
weeks ago. He still loves to rule the roost and be center of attention and
still loves to cuddle. Its his turn to get a forever home with a loving family.

After a trial separation away from Aurora we have discovered that the
two are going to be just fine if they are apart. Actually we have been
pleased to discover that Gimli actually is a bit more relaxed without Rory
to be possessive of. Although it is still very apparent that he would prefer
to be in a home as an only dog. He is very playful and very cuddly. He
loves to go for walks and play ball in the yard. Kids are fine with him but
no other pets in the family. So if you are looking for a very loyal and
loving companion, Gimli will fill that need just fine!

What a beautiful Skye Terrier! Gimli amazing and full of love. Gimli(left) is
approximately 5 years old. He is active and loves to play doesn't have a
problem with being lazy couch-dweller either. Gimli prefers being the
center of attention and would do better in a home  as an only child, 2 or
4-legged.

If you find yourself attracted to this unique baby we encourage you to do
some reading on the Skye Terrier breed. They are very loyal and loving
but can also have some personality traits that are distinct to their breed
and may not be for everyone.

Gimli is lavishing in the love of his foster family and proving what a good
boy he is! Due to the families impending move he can only stay with this
family for about 3 more months. We are hoping he finds a forever home
before then! Here is what his foster mommy has to say:

"Gimli is such a sweet, loving boy. He loves to be with his people.
Whether you're working in the yard or working on the computer, he just
wants to be a part of what you are doing. He will follow you from room to
room in the house, minding his own business, just content to rest at your
feet. Some of his favorite things to do are short walks, car rides, and
snuggles on the couch.

At our condo, Gimli has displayed separation anxiety when left behind. He
is not destructive but neighbors have told us he is quite vocal when we
are not home. For this reason, Gimli would not be suited for apartment or
condo living. He is also reactive towards other animals and will only be
considered as single pet.

Gimli's ideal family would be one that is willing to involve him in most of
their activities and spend lots of quality time with him on a daily basis. If
you feel you can provide Gimli his needs and are looking for a loyal,
loving companion, please apply for him. We will miss his mile wide smile
and twinkling eyes, but we pray there is a forever family out there to love
him! We know they will feel as blessed as we do to share their life with
him!"
